Clubs

Registered student organizations, more commonly called "clubs", exist year to year because of the College's commitment to providing services that fit the interests of each unique class of students. A few clubs, such as ASMC, M.O.V.E., International Peers, and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honors Program are always active. To learn more about currently active clubs, see the Club List.

Any group of five students with a common interest may begin a student club. The Director of Student Life can provide assistance with this simple process.

Each organization receives $200 per year for operational or programming expenses. Groups must request this funding through the Office of Student Life. All student clubs with an authorized advisor may also request financial support for programs by presenting a proposal to the ASMC. If groups raise additional funds, those will be specifically designated and administered through the Office of Student Life.

All student events must be approved by the Director of Student Life at least two weeks in advance of the event and must have an advisor present at that event. Clubs must get approval of event publicity in the Office of Student Life before publicity is posted. Campus security is required for some events. The cost of this service will be charged to the sponsoring organization.
