ASMC
The Associated Students of Marymount College (ASMC) is the official organization for student governance at the College. Through its elected offices and representatives, it strives to develop lasting qualities of commitment, cooperation and leadership and to promote the general welfare of the College. The ASMC meets weekly to plan activities, distribute funds to clubs and contribute to campus events.
All registered students attending classes are recognized as members of the Associated Students of Marymount College. All regularly enrolled full-time students who have paid their Student Association fee and have a GPA of at least 2.5 are eligible to hold office on the ASMC Board. The ASMC governing body consistes of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Director of Finance (the Executive Board), as well as Student Directors of Communications, International Students, Residential Concerns, Commuter Students and Environmental Awareness. There are also representatives for each class. Representatives of the student body serve on various standing committees as well as on ad hoc committees.
If you are interested in holding a position, elections are traditionally held in the spring for executive officers and directors; appointments for class representatives occur in September. Applications are available at Club Day in the fall.
